Igboora newly crowned monarch, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye today held a town hall meeting with residents of Igboora and thank them over their continuous support towards the development and progress of the land.
The meeting, which was part of efforts to discuss on possible ways to bring development to the town, held at the premises of Olu of Igboora Palace, Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Alhaja Fatimo Bello (NOA) who talked briefly at the meeting said drug abuse, cultism and teenage pregnancy as being playing major roles in hindering the development of their land.
She noted, teenage pregnancy in Ibarapa land has been on an alarming increase in recent times. It has become a menace that plagues the lives of young girls in this century. The implications of teenage pregnancy are quite grave both for mother and child. The after-effect of these consequences tell a great deal on the economy and society at large; they often are not immediately felt or seen but in the long run, they tell, She said.
She further by saying drug abuse and addiction can all lead to both short-term and long-term health effects. It is therefore, not a surprise that crime rates usually skyrocket with increasing rates of drug abuse in any community, when drug abuse rates spiral out of control, it should send alarm bells ringing because of its concomitant security implications, high rates of drug abuse usually result in problems as the person involved may run into debt and unable to meet financial responsibilities, she concluded.

Kudos to my foremost Monarch, we believe having this kind of dialogue within the community will bring monumental development to Igbo-Ora and Ibarapa at Large..
Truly the rate at which we have Teenage pregnancy among our Sister’s in the land was terrifying and alarming, because early birth will cause the parents not to have adequate education and wealth to take good care of the family.
The issue of drug abuse within our Youth’s, we are imploring our dear Father to work with appropriate agencies (NDLEA) to curb the menace of drug abuse in our society, this has lead to security treat to our there town.
Kudos to Asako reporters….
