Tomorrow, 31st July, 2021 becomes another historical day in the anals of Igboora as His Majesty, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, Asoroolu Ayinla V is set to receive Staff of office by His Excellency, Eng. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State and Traditionally Crowned by His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo.

Historically, Baale of Igboora (Now Olu of Igboora) had, right from the inception of Colonial Administration, enjoyed a leadership status over all the other Obas and Chiefs in Ibarapa axis (see Oyo Prof. 1-1617 Vol. ii from the National Archives) where the Baale of Igboora earned £48:00, Eleruwa,£30:00, Baale Igangan, £30:00………

When the Ibadan Native Authority was created many years ago, Igboora communities and environs were under I.N.A and Baale of Igboora (now Olu of Igboora) was the only recognised head, who could deal directly with the Olubadan, in all matters. Administratively, it was only Baale of Igboora who could send messages and letters directly to the Olubadan e.g Ibadan Division (1/1) 287 Vol. 7, Ibadan Division File No. 1703, Oyo Prof 1 1617 etc.

Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, was born on August, 4, 1961 to the family of Pa. Titiloye Bamgbose of Asoroolu Ruling House, Oke Iserin, Igboora.

He started his elementary education at N.U.D Primary School, Igboora and to the glory of God, Kabiesi obtained B.Sc in Industrial Technical Education from University of Nigeria, Nsuka and MBA in International Business Management from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos. He is a Member of Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria and equally a Technical Consultant, trained both locally and Abroad.

Oba Jimoh Titiloye is a responsible husband, and father of Twins. He is such a humble and pragmatic personality you would always love relating with. Best described as a distinct character dedicated to peaceful co-existence, deligent in leadership and highly religious.

I wish Kabiesi a blissful, memorable, successful and long reign on the throne of his forefathers.

Kabiesi o!

Prince Tayo Akinyemi
