OLUSEGUN OKANLAWON FOUNDATION PARTNERS SPYGIST MEDIA FOR IBARAPA MATHEMATICS CHALLENGE

The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), a non-governmental organization dedicated to humanitarian support, has announced its  mathematics competition for secondary schools in the Ibarapa zone of Oyo State.

The event, organized in collaboration with SpyGist Media, is set to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.

Speaking on the initiative, Mrs. Adedokun Victoria Adewumi, the Program Director for SpyGist Media, highlighted the competition’s aim of fostering problem-solving skills and critical thinking among schoolchildren.

“The competition is open to senior secondary school students, with each school presenting a candidate to represent them. The students will participate in an examination scheduled for December 7, 2024,” she explained.

Mrs. Adedokun also revealed that the best three participants will receive cash prizes, while all contestants will be awarded certificates of participation and other consolation prizes to motivate them.

She further emphasized that consultations with the Oyo State Ministry of Education have been made to ensure the program’s success. “This competition aims to inspire excellence and intellectual curiosity among young learners in the Ibarapa region,” she added.

The OOF mathematics competition promises to be a landmark event in promoting academic excellence in Oyo State.
