THE FACULTY PRESIDENTS EXTEND GRATITUDE TO SUG EXECUTIVES FOR RAMADAN PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION

In a heartfelt demonstration of solidarity and support, the Student Union Government (SUG) executives at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, received warm appreciation from the presidents of the institution’s four faculties for their compassionate initiative in distributing Ramadan palliatives to Muslim students.

The SUG executives led by Comr. Oke Oludele Adesola embarked on the noble endeavor of providing essential provisions to Muslim students as they observe the holy month of Ramadan. On March 26th, 2024, the first batch of palliatives was distributed, marking the beginning of a meaningful outreach effort.

The presidents of the four faculties’ student associations collectively expressed their gratitude to the SUG executives for their proactive approach in addressing the needs of Muslim students during this sacred period. They lauded the initiative as a testament to the empathetic and inclusive spirit of the student government.

Faculty of Science Student Association President, Adegoke Abeeb Akano, Faculty of Communication and Management Studies Student Association President, Ajibade Emmanuel Oluwadurotimi, Faculty of Environmental Studies Students Association President, Rafiu Muhammed Bolatito, and Faculty of Engineering Student President, Tijani Muideen Abiola, all spoke on behalf of their respective faculties, highlighting the significance of such gestures in fostering a sense of community and support among students.

They acknowledged the challenges faced by many students during Ramadan and commended the SUG executives for stepping forward to alleviate these hardships.

As the first batch of palliatives was distributed, students from all faculties received some food items, with gratitude and appreciation. The presidents reiterated the importance of unity and cooperation within the student body, emphasizing the role of initiatives like this in strengthening bonds and promoting mutual understanding.

Looking ahead, the student leaders expressed anticipation for the next phase of palliative distribution, underscoring the positive impact it has on the well-being of Muslim students at the polytechnic.

The SUG executives, in response to the overwhelming appreciation, reaffirmed their commitment to serving the student community and pledged to continue advocating for the welfare of all students, irrespective of their backgrounds or beliefs.
