GIVE ME MY STAFF OF OFFICE….. Elempe appeal to Gov. Makinde

The Elempe of Tapa, Ibarapa North Local Government, His Royal Majesty, Oba Titiloye Owolabi Sunday has pleaded with the Oyo State Government to coronate and present him staff of office to match, having spent five years on the throne.

Oba Titiloye made the plea while Asako news crew paid him a courtesy visit recently in his Palace, Tapa.

The traditional ruler’s chieftaincy was approved was approved by Oyo State Government in 2019, and after the installation, he is yet to be officially presented with Staff of office.Answering the question on his message to the people of Tapa and the Oyo State Government, the monarch said:

“I am appealing to the Oyo State government, under the leadership of the listening Governor, His Excellency, Eng. Dr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde to please, have mercy on me and please coronate and give me staff of office as the Elempe of Tapa. This is yet to be done. I have sent messages across in respect to this, I don’t know what is delaying it. I know Eng. Seyi Makinde, our beloved Governor is a listening leader. Oyo State government should please, yield to my plead.

“Before I get to the throne, there were cases of social vices, ranging from smoking hard drugs, fighting on the Streets, robbery etc But presently, I thank God everywhere is peaceful. The issue of smoking is now reducing at Tapa and people are now hardworking, peace loving and they enjoying every of their activities, people are now sleeping with their two eye closed.

“As to Sons and Daughters of Tapa,I am appealing to them to join hand with me in developing Tapa community” he concluded
