NGO Announce 2023 Christmas Outreach, Pledge Support For Widows, PwD, Orphans In Ibarapa Area

 

As the year draws to a close, a non governmental organisation, TOOL Initiatives has disclosed the date and major programs that will feature in her christmas outreach for the year 2023.

In a statement made available by the Director of Media and Publicity of TOOL Initiatives, Comrade Adedokun Sunday said the foundation will be holding this year program on the 24th of December, 2023 at the capital seat of Ibarapa East Local Government, Eruwa in Oyo State.

The statement noted that this year’s program will be featuring cash support to widows and poor, food bank projects, education support for the girl child, entrepreneurship empowerment and scholarships.

However, he assured the people that the foundation will continue to help the less privileged, widows, handicaps, orphans and others to bridge the gaps and create a brighter future for everybody in the communities.

The statement read, “all is set for our empowerment programme and end of the year event. We are glad to announce to you that the event which is specially packaged to what we have done in the previous years will hold on the 24th of December, 2023.

“TOOL Initiatives, known for its commitment in poverty eradication and welfare schemes in the society, is set to execute another epoch making and historic event which is basically focused on providing necessary supports for the less privileged across the quarters in Ibarapa East Local Government Area.

“Most of the widows in the community struggle to support their families, their children drop out from schools due to lack of income generating opportunities, thus perpetuating the cycle of poverty.

“However, the societal stigmatization widows face can lead to isolation and loss of emotional support”, he added.

The foundation also plans to provide support for the girl child, orphans, people with disabilities, empowerment for the unemployed youths and scholarship programmes.
