Federal Character Commission: Ibarapakan Meets Hon. Idris Wase as Lawmakers Promise to Work in Harmony

The lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju, has met with Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase at his residence in Abuja, this was contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the law maker, Hassan Olaoniye, dated 29th July, 2023.

Hon. Idris Wase, who represents the Wase Federal Constituency in Plateau State, first entered the House of Representatives in 2007. During this period, Mr. Wase served as Chairman of the Committee on Federal Character, Deputy House Leader, and most recently, Deputy Speaker.

Recall that on Wednesday, July 27, 2023, the Nigerian House of Representatives appointed Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase (CON) and Hon. Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju as Chairman and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character, respectively.

While hosting the Ibarapa-born lawmaker, Hon. Wase congratulated Ibarapakan on his appointment as Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character, promising to work together to ensure that the commission’s fundamental aim is met.

Speaking with Hon. Adepoju, the fifth-term lawmaker shared his success story, collaborations, experiences, and humble beginning, assuring Hon. Adepoju of legislative excellence with the latter’s antecedents and his good approach towards legislative duties so far.

In his own remarks, Ibarapakan expressed his gratitude to the lawmaker for having him and expressed the desire to learn from Hon. Wase’s depth of legislative experience.
