Engr. Dr. David, Olusegun Okanlawon
Accord Party Candidate
Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, Eng. Dr. Olusegun Okanlawon has responded to the recent action of the leadership of Oyo State APC, calling his expulsion “a fictitious Expulsion”

In a release made available to Asako News, tagged : “Fictitious Expulsion: Wake Up from Your Hangover”, the House of representative hopeful maintained that he would have decided to ignore the action of the APC expulsion, but for posterity’s sake , knowing that such a statement was crafted as an art of mischief. According to Eng. Segun Okanlawon:

“My attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Publicity Secretary of APC in Oyo State. Ordinarily, I would have ignored the obscene power-drunk display of individuals who should know better. However, I decided to respond for posterity’s sake, knowing that such a statement was crafted as an art of mischief”.

“For the record, I invested a lot of my personal resources and influence for the benefit of that party. And I have no regrets. I left the party in June 2022 when it was obvious that its leadership in the state was committed to the sabotage of constitutional and democratic processes. I left because I could not lend my credibility to a fraud that was aimed at keeping our people trapped in poverty and backwardness”.

“It is obvious that the APC in Ibarapa and Oyo State is far removed from reality. Having seen the handwriting on the wall, that Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency will vote against them in 2023, they are now grasping the wind and groping in darkness as they seek sympathy. They should stop this show of shame as it can only worsen their lot”.

“Their recent rally in Igboora was evidence of their impending lacklustre performance in Ibarapa. They scarcely filled up the small space used: something that random social clubs do without blinking an eye. This was despite the fact that they mobilized people from outside Ibarapa to the “rally.”

“Instead of the party to responsibly stem the mass exodus of its members and to seriously court the people’s goodwill (which has already faded away), they have resorted to irresponsible blackmail and retroactive expulsion. Can a party expel someone who left them six months ago?”

“It is a shame that a party that could not conduct simple primaries can accuse someone of being undemocratic and immoral. What absurdity! How can you expel someone who is not with you? Obviously, the APC in Oyo State is having a hangover from its show of shame during their fictional primaries”. He concluded.
