ERUWA – IDO ROAD: “MAKINDE IS A LIAR”…….TESLIM FOLARIN

The Oyo State Governorship flagbearer under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress, Senator Teslim Folarin has urged the people of Ibarapa zone to disregard the statement credited to the incumbent Governor of Oyo State and Governorship flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party, His Excellency, Eng. Seyi Makinde during his recent consultation and town hall meeting at Eruwa.

It will be recalled that Governor Seyi Makinde in his address during the town hall meeting, as reported by Asako News, alleged late Governor Abiola Ajimobi of negligence with the former Contractor handling the Eruwa – Ido – Eleyele road, which has led to deteriorated state of the road since three years; but Senator Teslim Folarin objected the claim calling it a “blatant lie”.

Addressing party faithfuls at All Progressive Congress (APC) Ibarapa zonal rally held on Thursday December 15, 2022 at Igbo-Ora Arcade Old Motor Park, Senator Folarin said: “Your Governor lied against late Governor Abiola Ajimobi on the issue of Eruwa – Ido road that has been giving you problem, if his claim is true, why can’t he refer to EFCC or ICPC? He has even established an anticoruption agency in the State, he should have used these agencies against the the contractor……, Oniro ni Gomina yi….,ti e ba dibo fun wa, Ijoba tiwa to nbo yi a se gbogbo ohun ti e ba nfe (Your Governor is telling lies…..if you vote me as the next Governor, I will do whatever you want….)”. Efforts to reach the State spokesman for Oyo State PDP, Mr Akeem Olatunji for the governor’s reaction on this proved abortive as his phone was ringing without response.

In attendance at rally are the Oyo State APC executives led by Hon Isaac Omodewu, the State Chairman, Chief Larape Jolaoso, Senator Olufemi Lanleyin, Alhaji O.M Abass, Hon. Yemi Akinlabi, Bar. Opeyemi Tijani, Hon. Olawoore and other party leaders across Ibarapa.

All the candidates of the party also spoke one after the other; all in same direction of appeal to Ibarapa people voting for all candidates of the party in the coming general elections. They include Barr Sharafadeen Alli, the APC Oyo South Senatorial District candidate; the Member representing Ibarapa Central/ Ibarapa North Federal Constituency and the APC candidate for the same seat, Hon Dr Ajibola Muraina; Engr Remi Oseni, the House of Representatives candidate for Ido/ Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, as well as the State House of Assembly candidates: Hon Lawal Adelodun Soliu (Ibarapa North/ Ibarapa Central State Constituency) and Hon Aderounmu Adebayo (Ibarapa East State Constituency)
