OKUNADE HALIMOT EMERGE MISS FISU NATIONAL

Okunade Halimot Adejoke, a native of Olanipekun’s Compound, Iberekodo, Igboora has been crowned the first Miss FISU National, after beating 5 other contestants at the FISU SOCIALISATION DAY and Miss FISU beauty Contest on Saturday, 5th of March at Oyo state college of Agriculture and technology Multipurpose Hall

 

Adejoke who is an HND 1 student of department of Home and Rural Economics, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora scale through all the stages and perform diligently and excellently to emerge as the first beauty queen of the union ever since establishment in the year 1984, Com. Adewale said.

 

Halimot who chose baking as career is the CEO of Leemah Cakes and event.

 

I’m so happy and feel excited because I wasn’t expecting it until I was pronounced, Adejoke said

 

“I don’t believe I can win the beauty contest because I haven’t contest for such before, she concluded.

 

Halimot was awarded the cash prize of N10,000 , a certificate of participation and ambassadorship.

 

 

Speaking with Asako Reporters correspondent, The executive President, Federation of Igboora Students’ Union (FISU), Comr. Badmus Adewale David, noted that it was very challenging for the event to be organised especially in student unionism.

 

The event is a Minds blowing event that have a lot of special packages, it was mainly organized to promote social life and greatness of FISU NATIONAL, Fisuites and Igboora Community as a whole and that is why we tagged it Socialization Day, He said.

 

He further thank all the contestant for the courage they summoned even in the midst of confusion and dilemma.

 

Mr Julius, the chief judge said three of the contestant were evicted for their absent at the audition ground which took place at the FISU national Secretariat on 4th of March, 2022 and it is only those who participated in the auditioning that were allowed to move to the grand finale.
