Ibarapa Central Council Boss, Sola Adeleke Equipped NDLEA, Agro Ranger with Motorcycles

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government area of Oyo State, Hon. Olusola Adeleke Ayodele in his bid to enhance security of lives and property within the local government, has on Friday, 24th January 2025 donated two brand-new motorcycles to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigeria Civil Defence (Agro Ranger unit), Igboora unit command.

In a statement signed by the personal assistant to the council boss, Azeez Sodiq Adesina, dated 24th January, 2025 as made available to Asako news, the presentation of the motorcycles was held at the local government secretariat and witnessed by representatives of the security agencies, stakeholders, and community leaders.

According to the statement, the initiative is part of the Chairman’s proactive efforts to empower security operatives and facilitate effective patrols, especially in remote areas where mobility is crucial for combating crime and ensuring peace.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Olusola Adeleke emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and security agencies in maintaining law and order.

“These motorcycles will serve as vital tools in enhancing mobility and response time in security operations. Our administration remains committed to creating a secure environment for the people of Ibarapa Central. This is just one of the many steps we are taking to achieve that goal,” he said.

The NDLEA and Agro Ranger officers expressed gratitude for the support, describing the motorcycles as a significant boost to their operations. They pledged to use the equipment efficiently to improve security and protect the interests of the people.
