HON. ADELEKE MOURNS POLITICAL ICON ALHAJI YEKEEN ADEOJO, CONSOLES IDO LG BOSS

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, on the passing of his revered father, Alhaji Chief Yekeen Adeojo—a towering figure in Oyo State politics and a respected elder statesman.

Alhaji Adeojo, whose death was announced on Friday, April 4, 2025, was a founding pillar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and served as the party’s former Deputy National Chairman. He was widely admired for his political acumen, unwavering commitment to democracy, and selfless service to the nation.

In a condolence message personally signed by Hon. Adeleke and released through his Personal Assistant, Azeez Sodiq Adesina, the Ibarapa Central boss described the elder Adeojo’s passing as a monumental loss not only to the Adeojo family but also to the PDP and the broader political fabric of Oyo State.

“Alhaji Chief Yekeen Adeojo was a statesman of immense value. His contributions to the development of our great party and his enduring legacy of service will forever be remembered. I stand with my dear brother and colleague, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, in this difficult moment and extend my deepest sympathies to his family and the people of Ido Local Government,” he stated.

Hon. Adeleke also offered prayers for Allah’s mercy upon the soul of the late icon and for strength and comfort for the bereaved family. He urged party members, associates, and loved ones to celebrate the meaningful and impactful life of Alhaji Adeojo, whose legacy continues to inspire.
