The Onipako Abdulhameed Akinyemi Maternal Care Foundation marked the New Year with its 11th annual presentation of childcare utensils to the first baby born in Ibarapa Central Local Government. The event took place at the Pako Maternity Center, Igboora, where the lucky child, born at 12:59 am, was welcomed into the family of Mr. Kazeem Jimoh and Mrs. Sakirat Jimoh of Jagun Isale Compound, Iberekodo.

Prince Akintayo Akinyemi, accompanied by his mother, wife, and family members, graced the occasion, which holds special significance in honor of his late father, HRH Oba Lamidi Olayide Akinyemi. Speaking at the event, Prince Akinyemi reflected on the foundation’s legacy, which was established 11 years ago to immortalize his father’s commitment to maternal and child welfare.

“During his lifetime, my father selflessly nurtured and supported countless abandoned children. This foundation continues his legacy, ensuring no child is left behind,” he said. He also prayed for Allah’s blessings and eternal peace for his late father.

Mrs. Adebimpe Adeleke, the wife of the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, presented the items on behalf of the foundation. She lauded the initiative, emphasizing its vital role in community development.

“The birth of a child symbolizes hope and renewal. Supporting families and prioritizing healthcare in our community is a shared responsibility,” Mrs. Adeleke noted, expressing appreciation for the foundation’s unwavering commitment to maternal and child health.

The celebration concluded with hearty congratulations to the Kazeem Jimoh family, whose new addition was warmly welcomed with love and generosity.

This heartwarming event serves as a reminder of the importance of community support and the joy that new life brings.
