The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke, has successfully completed the construction of a box culvert at Oke Olókun River, Isale Oba, Igboora, providing long-awaited relief to residents, schoolchildren, and farmers in the area.

Flagged off on January 27, 2025, the project addresses the persistent challenges caused by seasonal flooding, which had made the road impassable. The newly constructed culvert now guarantees safe and uninterrupted movement, particularly for students on their way to school and farmers transporting their produce to markets.

Beyond easing transportation difficulties, the development positions Oke Olókun for urban expansion, with improved infrastructure paving the way for residential growth and economic advancement in Igboora.

In a statement released by his Personal Assistant, Azeez Sodiq Adesina, Hon. Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to impactful governance:

“The completion of the Oke Olókun Box Culvert underscores our dedication to enhancing the lives of our people. Students can now go to school without worry, residents can travel safely, and farmers can transport their goods with ease. This is a step towards sustainable development and community progress.”

Grateful residents of Isale Oba commended Hon. Adeleke for his proactive leadership, acknowledging the project as a long-overdue solution to their daily struggles.

This initiative is part of the Chairman’s broader vision for infrastructural development across Ibarapa Central, reinforcing connectivity and fostering economic growth in both urban and rural areas.
