According to the narration, Ibadan had produced four Governors out of a total of five, citing :

1. Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adeshina 1999-2003, Ibadan.

In emphatical manner, Eng. Olaifa said:

“Oke Ogun, Ibarapa’s choice of becoming the next Governor come 2027 is non-negotiable and so the people therein and those in other marginalized zones should come together and intellectually fight for their rights.”

He declared that electorates in Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa have keyed into the vision the same way those in Oyo and Ogbomoso zones have expressed readiness to join in the struggle to achieve rotational governorship seat and so pave way for power shift to Oke Ogun in 2027.

In a separate remark, the Secretary of the group, Pastor Favour Adewoyin appealed to the two leading political parties: All Progressives Congress and People’s Democratic Party to pick their respective flagbearers from any town in Oke Ogun and Ibarapa for the 2027 elections with a solid Memorandum of Understanding that the next Governor after that should also come from another marginalized zones in the State. This according to him will ensure equality, equity and justice.

The group however warned that no Oke Ogun indigene should use the seat of Deputy Governor as a bane for negotiation.
