“We are committed to boosting our local economy through agricultural enhancement”, Adeleke assures as he play host Asako news
It was a productive and interactive moment at the Ibarapa Central Local Government Secretariat when the management of Asako Multimedia paid a courtesy visit to congratulate the new Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke at his office on Wednesday, 5th June, 2024.
During the visit, Asako Multimedia, owners of Asako Online Radio/TV, Asako reporters and Asako Magazine, a leading press outfit in the heart of Ibarapa Central Local Government, lead by the Managing Director, Prince (Alhaji) Akintayo Akinyemi, the General Manager, Prince Kabir Okegbenro and Program Manager, Rafiu Mohammed visited Hon. Adeleke to extend their congratulations.
Speaking on behalf of the media house, Prince Akintayo Akinyemi urged the Council Chairman to focus more on how to retract the glory of Ibarapa Central Local Government which according to him, have been drawn back ward by the past administration of the local government.
According to Akinyemi:
“We are here to congratulate you on your assumption of office as the Chairman of the Council. When you made pronouncement of your first Political appointees, I said to myself :”this regime seems to transform our Council that has been on holiday for three years from Analog to digital”. Honestly, it’s disappointing a leading local government like ours could be taken backward free of charge. The appointees are people of high Calibre who are up to the task. We urge your administration to get us back on track as soon as possible.
Prince Akinyemi also urged the Council boss to channel efforts towards an enhanced agricultural production and marketing, which he believed can boost the economy of the council.
According to him:
“Ibarapa in the past was the food basket of the state. Poor infrastructure has affected our farming operation as result of mass rural – urban migration. Our farmers lack resources to operate mechanized farming, and little proceeds are sold outside causing high cost of our agricultural produce. To get us back, your administration needs a technical review.
In his response, Hon. Adeleke expressed his gratitude to Asako Multimedia for their support and congratulatory visits. He reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Ibarapa Central and fostering a collaborative environment with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
According to him:
“I am glad to receive you as one of the first callers to my office since I assumed duty. I already instructed my media team to always liase with you. You remain our partner. You remain our link to the public we are serving and we as administration will always regard and appreciate you. Thank you for making Ibarapa proud, you have been showcasing our uniqueness to the world.
“On the issue of our economy boost, we are focusing more on Agriculture as you rightly advised. We are looking for ways on boosting our IGR through these mediums. We are going to partner with our farmers, market leaders and Community leaders on this. But we appeal to our people to show understanding by paying the legitimate rates, most especially occupiers of our lock-up shops”, he concluded.
