TCN ATTACK : “We’ll ensure perpetrators are brought to justice”, Sola Adeleke assures families of Slain Security Guards.
The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central,Hon. Olusola Adeleke has on Tuesday 4th June 2024 paid a condolence visit to the families of the slain security guards Lukman Adejumo and Mr Fatai jimoh who were brutally murdered during the recent attack on the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) facility in Igbole Igboora.
According to a release made available to Asako news, dated 4th June, 2024, signed by the Personal Assistant to the Local Government Chairman, Mr. Sodiq Adesina, the tragic incident, which occurred at midnight on Sunday, June 2, 2024, saw unknown gunmen targeting the TCN facility, leading to the deaths of two security personnel who valiantly attempted to resist the armed assailants.
According to the statement, Hon. Adeleke who visited the families in company of the site Engineer, Engr Dapo Olaoye, expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, offering his personal condolences and support. He reassured them of his administration’s commitment to seeking justice for their loss and providing necessary assistance during this difficult time.
“Our hearts are with the families of the brave security guards who lost their lives in this senseless attack. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten, and we are committed to ensuring that justice is served,” Hon. Adeleke quoted.
The Council Chairman further assured the families and the entire community of Ibarapa Central that enhanced security measures are being implemented to prevent such tragedies in the future. Hon. Adeleke emphasized the importance of community safety and pledged that his administration will work closely with law enforcement agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and residents in the area.
The visit follows Hon. Adeleke’s immediate action upon receiving the devastating news, when he dispatched a delegation comprising his Chief of Staff, Protocol Officer, and Personal Assistant to the scene to assess the situation and offer support.
“The local government remains steadfast in its dedication to the safety and well-being of all inhabitants of Ibarapa Central, with Hon. Adeleke reiterating his commitment to bolstering security and supporting affected families”, the statement concluded.
