The Ibarapa born social commentator, publisher and author, Alhaji (Prince) Akintayo Akinyemi has frown at manners Ibarapa born political appointees and leaders treated indigenous media links and entertainment centers while they are always seen embracing foreign media houses for fame.

Akinyemi, who is also the Managing Director of Asako Multimedia disclosed this when he lead other management of the media group on a congratulatory and courtesy visit to the new Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke at his office on Wednesday 5th June 2024.

Prince Akinyemi eulogised the warm reception accorded to their team by Hon. Adeleke. He lamented the very poor attention Ibarapa media links do recieved from indigenous politicians each time they emerge or appointed despite tireless efforts of relaying news for them at no cost.

According to Tayo Akinyemi:

“We appreciate your reception today, we hope your administration will give chances to Ibarapa media houses. What most of our Political office holders could not do, some transformative individuals will gather energy and resources to do, and instead of appreciating them, they patronise foreign blogs with huge amount of resources that should be channeled home. They treated Ibarapa medias as Junks, and this must stop.

“Is it not shameful, for Ibarapa not having a frequency station at this digital age? They have the resources as their counterparts does in promoting their areas, but they would rather promote foreign ones.

“Who are they impressing? Outsiders or the people that voted them? Ibarapa media houses are not second class. We have been doing things those media links they waste our resources to couldn’t do.

At Asako Multimedia, we have successfully hosted two Political debates; within three years Asako Multimedia became proud owners of Asako Radio/TV, Asako reporters blog and Asako Magazine, all these through a selfless service to our community”, Akinyemi concluded.

Meanwhile, Hon. Sola Adeleke has pledged the readiness and support of his administration towards promoting prompt and competitive media propagation in Ibarapa region as he expressed gratitude Asako Multimedia for the congratulatory visit.

The Council Boss reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Ibarapa Central and fostering a collaborative environment with various stakeholders in the Media and entertainment industry in Ibarapa to achieve common goals.

According to him:

“I am glad to receive you as one of the first callers to my office since I assumed duty. I already instructed my media team to always liase with you. You remain our partner. You remain our link to the public we are serving and we as administration will always regard and appreciate you. Thank you for making Ibarapa proud, you have been showcasing our uniqueness to the world”, he stated
