OYO REP’S ’ MEMBER, AGBOWORIN, NAMED CHAIRMAN OF 2024 IGBOORA WORLD TWINS FESTIVAL

The Igboora World Twins Festival, a global celebration of culture and multiple births, has officially named a federal lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/NorthEast, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, as the Chairman of the 2024 edition.

The festival, which is set to take place in the heart of Igboora, Oyo State, on October 12th, at the Methodist Grammar School Playing Ground, Saganun, Igboora, at 10 AM.

A statement signed by the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon Olusola Adeleke, indicated that the festival has become an international attraction and a unique cultural event that honors the community’s high multiple birth rate.

The statement, while stating that the Igboora World Twins Festival 2024 will be an exciting blend of cultural performances, educational programs, and community engagement, it added that “with Rep. Agboworin at the helm, this year’s festival promises to uphold the rich heritage of Igboora and continue to place the town on the global map as the ‘Twins Capital of the World’.”

It added that the 2024 edition is expected to attract several dignitaries and tourists from across the globe.

Among the notable attendees would be the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde; members of the Oyo State Executive Council and other political functionaries in the state.

Some of the traditional rulers expected at the event include the Olu of Ilaro; Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, who would be the Royal Father of the festival.

Describing what qualifies Agboworin, who is a two-term lawmaker and Chairman of House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, as the Chairman of the occasion, the statement explained that “he has been recognized for his leadership and dedication to public service, making him an ideal candidate to oversee this prestigious festival.”

“His invitation is coming as a result of his remarkable contributions to the development of his constituency.

“Since his election, Hon. Agboworin has championed numerous developmental projects, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, and youth empowerment. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering community growth and ensuring that his constituents benefit from critical government initiatives,” the statement added.

    Jubril Dotun Sanusi will be the chairman of 2024 Igboora world global twins festival, why agboworin again . Pls clear this to avoid confusion.
