IDERE HILLS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS DESTINATION……. IBARAPAKAN

Sunday March 24, 2024 remained historical as the Idere Hills, in Ibarapa Central Local Government area of Oyo State welcomed the member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju.

In a statement made available to Asako news, sign by the special adviser to the lawmaker on media and publicity, Hassan Olaoniye, dated March 24, 2024, Hon. Adepoju after hiking, described Idere Hills as a breathtaking one that the rest of the world won’t hesitate to explore.

Recalling his pledge during the electioneering campaign that tourism, among other things that are capable of growing his constituency, would be keenly looked at while working closely with key stakeholders in the country and the world at large to harness them for the benefit of the region, he described the visit as a way of it’s fulfillment.

The lawmaker appreciated HRM Oba Onikola Oyelami Olufiji II, the Onidere of Idere, his chiefs-in-council and Idere Idigenes, who welcomed him and his entourage into the community with open arms.

Hon. Adepoju assured the people of Idere that his representation would continue to focus on Idere Hills and other tourist attraction locations in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, noting that, just like data, tourism is also the oil of the 21st century.

“Idere Hills has the potential to become an international tourist destination; the site possesses all of the necessary elements. Hiking the hills is breathtaking,

and I must have missed out on so much over the years. Now, the desire to explore again lingers. That is the infectious nature of this tourist attraction,” Ibarapakan remarked after hiking the hills.

He added that, as a government, thorough attention would be focused on developing the tourist attraction site while seeking the assistance of private organisations to partner on the bold decision.
