I WILL NOT TAKE YOUR MANDATE FOR GRANTED……SOLA ADELEKE ASSURES

The Chairman-elect of Ibarapa Ibarapa Central Local Government in the just concluded local government election in Oyo State, Hon. Sola Adeleke has appreciated the people of Ibarapa Central Local Government for voting him as their Chairman-elect.

He equally appreciate the governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde for creating an enabling environment for what he described as an improved Electoral process.

In a statement personally signed by the Chairman-elect dated 28th April 2024 as made available to Asako news, Hon. Sola Adeleke described his victory as a reflection of promises made by the people to vote for him during his electioneering campaigns.

According to Adeleke:

“Let me seize this important moment to appreciate God who for His love and mercies endureth for ever. In Him do I owe all that is with, and within me. For seeing me and my campaign team throughout the campaign and electioneering period and indeed, bringing victory to us.
May His name forever be praised, amen!

“To the people’s governor and dynamic leader, His Excellency, Eng. Seyi Abiodun Makinde. Thank you for giving an improved Electoral process in Oyo State. The enabling environment given to oppositions showcased your acomodating spirit of sportsmanship, and has validated the general acceptance of our great party, PDP in Oyo State. On your mandate, the populace of Ibarapa Central shall stand.

“To all the political leaders across our party PDP, ranging from Party executives, elders advisory council, legislative arm and state executive council. I use this purview to thank you all from the depth of my heart for finding me worthy and by extension, having the believe and trust in me to represent my people as local government chairman elect.

“To all PDP faithfully families, I thank you all for giving me the platform to fly our party flag, I salute you all.

“To the good and dynamic people of Ibarapa central local government, no length of words can be used to express my happiness and gratitude to you for your show of love done on me and my family.

“From the start of my campaigns enrout the election day, you all came out in your number and gave me an overwhelming victory at the poll with no record of casualty despite the despiration displayed by the opposition to cause violence and inflict fear to our people across polling units to disrupt the peaceful election.

“To the non-indigenes across Ibarapa central, I salute you all for the show of love bestowed on me by coming out to exercise your franchise at the poll.

“I cannot complete this appreciation speech without thanking you all for your votes, recillience and sacrifices. Before the election, so many of you made a pledge and the result actually manifested that you all kept to your promise by voting me.
Thank you for showing me love; this I really appreciate.

“At this point, may I humbly say that, the mandate you all have given to me, shall not be taken for granted.

“I am of the conviction that my victory is a confirmation of the people’s love which did not only cut across political parties divide but also comprises men, women, both young and old in Ibarapa central local government.

“I will never betray the confidence you have reposed in me; I promise to change the narratives through a better and all inclusive governance which is only possible through your constructive dialogue.

“The victory we celebrate today, is not just a victory for me, but a victory for the entire Ibarapa central”, Adeleke concluded.
