Former Ibarapa North Local Government Boss Solomon Ogunjimi, is Dead… Akorede Mourns!

The death has been announced of a former Executive Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete, Elder Solomon Ogunjimi. He died earlier today, Tuesday 30th January 2024 at the age of 72 after a brief illness.

Announcing the sad news, the executive chairman Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Lawal Akorede describe the demise of one of his predecessor as irreparable and shocking.

According to him:

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our revered father, accomplished politician, and leader, Late Chief Ogunjimi Solomon Oluwole (A.k.A Oni ile Aruuruu). He departed on January 30, 2024, at 3:00 am, at the age of 72, following a brief illness.

“Late Chief Ogunjimi, an exemplary leader, showcased his astute leadership skills in both private and public sectors in Oyo state and the Nigerian political arena. His distinguished service includes:

“- Former Caretaker Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete Oyo state, 2003-2004.
– Former Executive Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete Oyo State, 2004-2007.
– Former Senatorial Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo South Senatorial District, 2012-2015.
– Board member, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, 2020 until his passing.

“May the Almighty grant us and the entire family the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss. Farewell, Chief Ogunjimi Solomon Oluwole, The Okanlomo of Ayete land and Atunluse of Igangan land.”
