FASU REVIVES SPORTSMANSHIP WITH THRILLING INDOOR GAMES COMPETITION

As part of the activities marking the 2024 Federation of Ayete Students’ Union (FASU) Week, an engaging Indoor Games Competition featuring Ayo Olopon and Draught was held at Ayete Motor Park on December 27, 2024.

The event, spearheaded by the Sports Director, Comr. Muhammed Adeniyi (Buhari), showcased intense contests across both games, drawing significant participation and enthusiasm from the community.

In the Draught category, Ojeyemi Teslim emerged victorious after defeating Adediran Joseph, who secured second place, while Alabi Tunde finished as the second runner-up.

In the Ayo Olopon category, Olaniyan Emmanuel clinched first position, followed by Olusola Alimat, a talented young girl, in second place, and Jimoh Iskilu in third.

During the prize presentation, FASU President, Comr. Saheed K. Olaosun, commended the winners for their achievements and praised all participants for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit. He also expressed gratitude to union members and the community for their unwavering support and contributions to the event’s success.

Coach Kabiru Ayanyemi, the Moderator and Organizing Chairman, echoed similar sentiments, congratulating the winners and appreciating the participants for making the competition lively and memorable.

The Indoor Games Competition is one of the too-many FASU achievements organized through the office of Sport Director. FASU has reignited the spirit of sportsmanship in Ayete Community with the organization of series of sport activities, these include the active participation of FASU Football Club in the 2023 Ayete Football Competition, the organization of the FASU’s 2023 Ayete Inter-quarters Football Competition, the one-day football match for public secondary schools in 2024, and the recently conducted Indoor Games Competition.
