EMPOWER MISCREANTS AND THE POOR AND THEY WILL BE USEFUL TO THE SOCIETY….. Cleric advised Wealthy people at Olu of Igboora 2024 Ramadan lecture.

The third Ramadan lecture organised by His Royal Majesty Alhaji Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye (Asorolu Ayinla V), Olu of Igbo-ora land took a another dimension as it focused mainly on Islamic perspective of charity (ZAKAAT), with respect to economic situation in Nigeria.

The event which was graced by royal fathers, personalities and religious scholars, at the Olu of Igboora Ultra modern palace on Saturday, 6th April 2024.

In his goodwill message, the Royal father, Oba Titiloye urged youths to always be cautious of the consequences of what they consume on their health and morality.

According to the monarch, continuous consumption of hard drugs which is rampant among youths of today, poses a great threat to society’s security architecture. He thanked all the Obas, Islamic clerics and personalities who came far and near to witness the third edition of the Ramadan lecture.

The guest lecturer, Sheikh Muhd-Yakub Mustopha Onikeke while doing justice to the topic: “Islamic perspective of charity (ZAKAAT), with respect to economic situation in Nigeria” highlighted that un-readiness of the government and wealthy ones in the society to help the poor and less privilege, leads to various calamities, harms and dangers that damages values of the society, religion and the government.

According to the Islamic cleric, “ZAKAAT is a major pillar of Islam, and very precious to ALLAH, just like Solat and other pillars of Islam.

Allah and the Holy Prophet Mohamed love charity, and always love whoever gives charity.

“Give the poors enough empowerment, empower and employ criminals and miscreants on the street, then you will see how useful they will be to the society”.

The Cleric advised leaders to always portray meaningful respects to religious leaders, saying they are equally useful to a peaceful society.

Traditional rulers who physically graced the event include His Majesty, Onidere of Idere, Elempe of Tapa, Asigangan of Igangan, Olokaka of Okaka, Baajigan of Ilaju Ile, Oluaso of Iberekodo, Onidofin of Idofin, Onisagan of Saganun, Babaaso of Igbole and various Chiefs across Ibarapa region.

Other dignitaries include the Oyo State Commissioner for Trade and Investment who doubles as Jagunmolu of Igboora, Chief Ademola Ojo, Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Moshood Salami, Alhaja Ranti Adedigba, Chief Mrs Adewole Ojo, Olori Amudat Akinyemi, Alhaja Sherifat Abass, Engr. Azeez Adeoye, Prof. Azeem Ige and several other personalities.

Islamic Leaders at the event include Alhaji Muhd Yushau Muhd Jamiu Alobalowo(Chief Imam of Igboora Land), Alhaji Sheikh Al-Imam Ligali Adebayo, Sheikh Lawal Ajikewu, Sheikh Mustapha Onikeke, Chief Imam of Pako, Chief Imam of Saganun, Chief Imam of Idofin, Chief Imam ADS,Igboora, Imam Mutiullahi Aderogba (Chief Imam Orile central Mosque),Chief Imam of Nawair Ur Deen Central mosque, Imam Orile Iserin central mosque and several Islamic organisations.
