AYETE PROGRESSIVE UNION LAUDS AKOREDE ON FINANCIAL EFFORT ON RESTORATION OF ELECTRICITY TO IBARAPA NORTH

The umbrella body of indigenes of Ayete Community under the agies of Ayete Progressive Union has lauded the effort of the executive chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Adebare Akorede towards the commencement of the repair of damaged electric facilities along Ibarapa North Local Government.

It is recalled that the executive chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lawal Lateef Akorede as reported through his media aide Usair Jimoh, donated a sum of one million naira (₦1,000,000) to authority of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBDEC) meant for the replacement of defective poles and repair faulty cables towards restoring reliable electricity to the local government after several years of darkness.

Confirming the report through a statement personally signed, the President, Ayete Progressive Union, Hon. Kewulere Mukaram in a release titled :
“RESTORATION OF POWER SUPPLY TO IBARAPA NORTH”, appreciated the council Boss for coming to their aid urge the Communities to give helping hands in clearing the vegetations around the electric poles and apply chemicals to the stubborn stumps.

According to Kewulere:

“You will recall that there have been efforts from various quarters on how to restore electricity supply to Ibarapa North.

“I have privilege information that work will soon commence to restore power supply to IBRPN by replacing the bad poles and rectifying faulty cables courtesy of Hon Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede- the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government.

“To show his commitment to this restoration exercise, LG Chairman- Hon Lateef Akorede Lawal has released the sum of One Million Naira only (#1,000,000). While following up on the update, the IBEDC man covering Ibarapa Zone in person of Mr Adeola Ojediran confirmed the good news and that his team will commence work on the repair and restoration of power supply to Ibarapa North*. The exercise will start from Idere down to Igangan.

“The Chairman assured us that more fund will be released to the IBEDC team for smooth operations in good time.

“But the IBEDC man said, the Communities should give helping hands, to clear the vegetations around the electric poles and apply chemicals to the stubborn stumps.

“On behalf of Ayete Community and Ibarapa North at large, I hereby register my heart felt appreciation to our amiable Chairman – Hon Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede for this giant stride and pray to Allah to give him the courage, strength and sound health to complete the assignment as well as his other plans for people of Ibarapa North, Kewulere concluded.
