ALLI, JDS, IBARAPAKAN, AKOREDE, ERUOBODO, AJIMOBI, ODIDIOMO SET TO GRACE AYETE NATIONAL DAY ON DECEMBER 7

Ayete Community has announced its preparation to celebrate this year’s Ayete National Day in grand style with confirmation of political bigwigs to be in attendance at the grand finale of the cultural festival.

This announcement was made through a statement made available to pressmen on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 by the President of the Ayete Progressives Union (APU), Hon. Kewulere Mukaram Aliu.

The week-long cultural festival will be coming up between December 1 and December 7, 2024, this was disclosed in the statement.

The festival will, as stated in the statement, feature: “Conferment of Chieftaincy Titles on Dignitaries and Launching of 250 Million Naira Appeal Fund for the completion of Ayete ICT Centre.”

The week-long festival will start on Sunday, December 1, 2024 with Church Service at C & S Church Headquarters, Ayete.

Monday, December 2, 2024 has been mapped out for Press Conference and Homage to Asawo Palace.

Tuesday, December 3, 2024 will feature Environmental Sanitation in the morning, to be followed by Cultural Display in the evening.

Wednesday, December 4, 2024 will feature Tourism and Sports activities with a tour to Abinuoro Hills in the morning and Indoor Games in the evening.

Thursday, December 5, 2024, has been mapped out for lecture program and novelty football match, while Friday, December 6, 2024 has been set aside for Jumat Service at Ayete Central Mosque.

The grand finale of the 7-day festival will come up on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Baptist High School, Ayete by 10:00am.

The APU President, however, confirmed that the all-important grand finale will have the presence of political bigwigs across the pacesetter state – Oyo State.

Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS), the Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Sports and Resorts and Dr. Olusola Ayandele (Eruobodo) will be in attendance as Chief Launcher and Chairman of the Day respectively.

The jamboree will have Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, and Dr. (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, as Father and Mother of the Day respectively.

Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju (Ibarapakan), Member of House of Representatives representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, and Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide (Odidiomo), Member of House of Representatives representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency will be at the event as Chief Guest of Honor and Special Guest of Honor respectively, while Hon. Lateef Adebare Lawal (Akorede) who is the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government was said to be the Chief Host of the week-long festival.
