NBTE accredit 8 courses for OYSCATECH….

Rector appreciates Staff and Students.

Rector of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Kehinde Akinola Akinlabi has appreciated the Management, Staff and Students of the institution and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for their support during the recently concluded accreditation exercise held at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.

In a press release dated 21st July 2023, signed by the Institution’s public relations officer, Opeyemi Olawoore, as made available to Asako news, the Rector who could not hide his joy revealed that the National Board for Technical Education has granted approval for the eight programmes presented to it during the accreditation exercise held between May 22 and 26, 2023.

“We have received approval letter from the NBTE, “ he said.

In his words, this feat was achieved due to the collective effort of Staff, Students and everyone who contributed in no small measure towards the success of the accreditation exercise. “I am indeed grateful, He said.”

According to Prof. Akinlabi, “I am delighted to announce to you that we have secured full accreditation for National Diploma in Office Technology and Management and Library and Information Science for the period of five years.

“Similarly, for the resource inspection carried out on National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering and Food Technology, the NBTE has granted approval for the commencement of the programmes, while the institution has also been granted approval to offer Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Public Administration and Business Administration.”

The Rector commended the National Board for Technical Education for always carrying out its due diligence over polytechnics and monotechnics, which has greatly assisted institutions to maintain the standard.

The rector explained that more programmes will be introduced since the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora is a full-fledged polytechnic.

Prof. Akinlabi noted that the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora will continue to collaborate with the National Board for Technical Education towards fulfilling her over sight function in the institution.

The Rector maintained that the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora will not renege in training middle level manpower for agriculture, technology and management.
