I commend the leadership styles of the Igboora Traditional Council under the chairmanship of the inspirational and progressive King, His Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye who has in the last four years of enthronement re-awaken the spirit of oneness in the confederal Igboora Communities. The supportive roles of other Obas ranging from the Oluaso of Iberekodo, Oba Jamiu Badmos, Babaaso of Iberekodo-Igbole, MSA Olusanjo Ojo, Onisaganun of Sagaun, Oba Fasasi Jinad and Onidofin of Idofin will equally be indelible on the sand of time.

No doubt, our royal fathers have stylishly taken our historical natural phenomenon to an envious dimension; many have criticised the natural resources being gradually taken away from us due to many irregularities in the few years of “remodeling our age long Twins festival” in the last four years. As I used to say, Twins festival has been in existence in Igboora from time immemorial, nothing is new about the festivity (for records).

The introduction of honourary Chieftaincy title to some highly reffered personalities who have served Igboora Community since their early days till date is what gladdened my heart, these are our Babas we referenced in every of our developmental stories of Igboora. When I say Babas, I feel proud and honoured on the mention of Chief Dr. Amos Ademola Adepoju and Chief Dr. Samuel Oje Morakinyo. The duo have been on the records of Igboora developmental stories as far back as 1950s, as impactful members of the Igboora Literary and Progressive Union, which later metamorphosis to Igboora Progressive Union (I.P.U). This umbrella body by the grace of God gave birth to several developmental projects in Igboora ranging from Igboora High school, Igboora Town Hall, Post Office, Technical College now OYSCATECH etc, their services as a former Rector of the Polytechnic, Ibadan and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy in Oyo State respectively is highly commendable. They merited the honour as the Asiwaju and Aare Atuluse of Igboora. Our Mummy, Chief (Mrs) Elfride Adepoju equally deserves our commendation for the good care of our dear Baba, Asiwaju of Igboora, God bless you ma.

Our Leader and retired Legal guru, Hon. Justice Solomon Gboyega Akinteye’s sacrifices for Igboora right from his days at Wale Adeniran & Co in the early 1980s before the establishment of his own Legal Chamber, Gboyega Akinteye & Co in Abeokuta till 1997 will forever remained evergreen. Do we have to talk about the souls and rights of Igboora people himself and our late legal Icon, late Bar. Lawale Adeniran rescued, giving hope to the hopeless. His brilliance comendations as a retired Judge at the Oyo State High court of Justice and the pioneer President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Oyo State was a very merry making story for the entire Ibarapa race. I say a very loud Congratulations to Justice Adegboyega Akinteye on his installation as the Aare Bamofin of Igboora land and my beloved and supportive Aunty, Chief (Mrs) Felicia Adebimpe Akinteye, the Yeye Aare Bamofin of Igboora land.

To a very strong warrior in the field of battle, a lovable field marchal and patriotic citizen of Igboora, Otunba Ademola Obafemi Ojo, the honour of Jagunmolu of Igboora coming to him is never by accident. His late father, my very lovely hero, late Chief Adewole Ojo was equally installed Jagunmolu of Igboora sometimes in 1991, kudos to the Igboora Traditional Council for giving back the honour to the deserved.

Late Chief Adewole Ojo sacrificed most of his lifetimes serving Igboora Community, he retired home and was with his people serving them till death. Can we forget so soon his brilliant representation as a Honourable Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and founding fathers of the Igboora Progressive Union?

Otunba Ademola Ojo himself has proved to be a “Jagun-Jagun” in all acumen of leadership. Do we talk of his investment in human capital development, trades and investment in Igboora? How many of our past political office holders invested in Igboora? This alone, I salute and appreciate our kabiesis on this well deserved honour.
