IBARAPA NORTH APPRECIATE MAKINDE FOR SUSTAINING PEACE IN THE REGION
A group under the eagies of “The Concerned People of Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete” has expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Eng. Oluseyi Makinde FSNE on his various policies and peace building mechanisms implored for the sustenance of parmanent peace across the Ibarapa region and Oyo State at large.
In reference to the ugly incidence of 6th June, 2021 where Igangan town and her environs was invaded by the armed Fulani herdsmen which claimed several lives and properties, the group laud Governor Makinde for the strategic security architecture put in place, which according to the group, have been so effective.
Statement issued by the group made available to Asako news titled :
“Nuggets of Appreciation and Commendation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr.Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FSNE .” Read:
“The good people of Ibarapa North Local Government have unanimously resolved to commend the people’s Governor and pride of the West, Engr.Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for his commitments and actions to strengthen the effectiveness of peace building mechanisms institutionalized for sustaining peace across the Ibarapa region and Oyo State of Nigeria at large.”
“For historical reference, on the 6th June, 2021, Igangan town and her environs were invaded by the armed Fulani herdsmen which claimed several lives, properties and many sustained life injury which led to a public outcry because of maimed lives with an everlasting soar.”
“Your excellency, you instantly swang into action, you visited and sympathised with us, not only that, you promised to restore peace and order as well as provisions of succour to the affected families and you did, all promise made.”
“Our people were commensurately compensated which has helped to restore our hope to live again with an assurance of living like citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not *Second Class Citizens*. We are grateful, Sir !”
“Your Excellency, we are glad to inform you that for the past two years, we can all sleep with our eyes closed without fear of security threat which has never happened in the history of Ibarapa North Local Government.”
“To whom much is given, much is expected, goes an adage, our people in Ibarapa North are solidly behind you, Sir. We are also pleased to submit to you, our collective reflections of happiness and joy for your intervention on the rehabilitation of our roads which has improved our socio-economic activities and well-being through easy movement of our farm produce to the market at profit price as a result of functional motorable feeder roads facilitated and completed by your administration, Sir.”
“Your Excellency, Sir, we can not thank you enough for the reconstruction of our Monarch’s palace of Asigangan of Igangan that was set ablazed by these unscrupulous human beings and other surrounded buildings.”
“Your strategic approach for the development of conventional and local security architecture has fully restored lasting peace, social economic development in Ibarapa North Local Government”.
“We shall continue to give necessary substance and support for your government every now and again.” They concluded
