GOV. SEYI MAKINDE, RESCUE IGBOORA SECONDARY SCHOOL FROM EXTINCTION…….OLD STUDENT

An Alumni of Igboora Secondary School who doubles as the Secretary, Mr. Moyofola Ayobami has written a appeal letter to the executive governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde to as a matter of urgency, rescue Igboora Secondary School from total extinction.

In a letter addressed to the Governor dated 30th March 2023, the Alumni scribe stated the diapilidated state of the secondary school, likewise most of the secondary schools in the region, and the urgent need of the State Government to rescue the schools from extinction.

 

The letter read:

OPEN LETTER TO EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF OYO STATE OVER ROOF BLOWN OFF AND REBUILDING OF NEW CLASSROOMS FOR IGBOORA SECONDARY SCHOOL.

Your Excellency sir, Engr Seyi Makinde

It is with great delight that I am writing this letter to you as a good indigene of the pacesetters State who wants a great future for the good people of ibarapa central and Oyo state at large

I congratulate you on your recent victory and I am so happy that the people of oyo State were not shortchanged as their votes in the last Governorship and States House of Assembly elections were not tampered with,I’m sure it’s not to late to felicitate with you

Your Excellency, I want to use this special medium to draw your attention to the very defastating state of Igboora Secondary School, located in IGBOORA Oyo state. This is a citadel that has been making us proud in various competitions globally.

There is no iota of doubt that Igboora Secondary School, Igboora is the best school in Ibarapa central local government having emerged in various competition that bring schools together from the area.

One cannot imagine how the school can still perform excellently under an unfavorably learning atmosphere.pathetically,the school compound and learning environment is in a state of shamble. According to the school management it lacks the financial capacity to address the factors, so,The school is in dire need of your Government’s help in order to create a high class enabling environment for both the teachers and pupils.

Your Excellency, the whole school needs urgent and total renovation. No building ,No equipment in the laboratory. The school library is in total extinction ;no sporting facilities and all structures are in a sorry state, not befitting for even animal habitation.

Your Excellency, I am seeking for your intervention in Renovation, building of modern new classroom and provision of chairs and tables. Although it has been the tradition of the school for the past decades that all the admitted student should always come along with their chairs from home ,in which some students who can not meet up with this measures or afford the cost experience alot of inconvenience and inability to assimilate whole standing during lecturer hours of sharing a chair with two or three mates

 

Other secondary schools equally need urgent rehabilitation and modern equipments, the challenges here are many ,but now that we have a governor that truly loves us,we cannot hide them

Sir, With the aforementiod reasons and challenges, I believe it has reached the peak at which you need to perform and render your humanity service to the above mentioned school located in igboora, Ibarapa central local government. And it will be an emeritious and recognize achievement of this request is review and done.
