BREAKING: ADEDIGBA FAMILY DONATED MULTI- MILLION EYE SURGERY MACHINE TO IGBOORA GENERAL HOSPITAL

History was made today, 16th May, 2023 as Ibarapa traditional rulers commissioned a multi-million naira eye surgical machine donated by the family of the late Ibarapa Human developer, Late Alhaji Jimoh Atilola Adedigba. This machine according to the Medical Director of the General Hospital, Igboora, Dr. Iguazam Ike, is the second in the entire Oyo State, the other one is at the UCH, Ibadan. Corroborating the Medical Director, the Chief Matron, Mrs. Bose Adabanija appreciated the Adedigbas, and promised that the Hospital will make judicious use of the Machine.

Speaking on behalf of the Ibarapa Traditional Rulers, the Olu of Igboora, His Majesty, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, appreciated the Adedigba family for the rare previlege. According to the Oba, this is not the first golden contributions from the Adedigbas to Community development, and it will not be last by God’s grace.

Oba Jimoh Titiloye highlighted the importance of the Machine as a rare previlege for the entire Ibarapa land and adjoining towns. According to kabiesi, with this machine as individuals who wishes to undergo eye surgery will no longer go to Ibadan or Lagos; once we are able to get a resident Ophthalmologist at the General Hospital here, the stress is over.

The Onidere of Idere, Oba Kingsley Aderoju Onikola appreciated the Adedigbas for the golden contribution to the wellness of the Ibarapa communities. According to Oba Onikola, the Adedigbas have done well in other areas such as donation of Solar lights, Water etc., he called on other well meaning Ibarapas to follow suit in other developmental areas for the betterment of the community.

Wife of the Olu of Igboora,Olori Oluwakemi Titiloye, prayed fervently for prosperity and protection of the Adedigba lineage. According to her, “they will always be happy and prosperous”.
The Managing Director of Asako news, Prince Tayo Akinyemi who also witnessed the commissioning, prayed for the entire Adedigbas, most especially, the Matriarch of the Adedigbas, Alhaja Wasilat Adedigba for always thinking of making a greater Ibarapa and Humanity, he prayed that humanity will always be kind to them. Prince Akinyemi used the opportunity to appeal to Oyo State Government, to consolidate the gesture of this patriotic individuals by upgrading the General Hospital to a global standard both in Human and material resources, a lot of people have lost their lives as result of the State of government hospitals that should have been a safe place for common individuals.
The Surgical Machine named OPERATING MICROSCOPE (MODEL OM-6), made up of Ophthalmic microscope, can be used for Retina, Glaucoma, Cataract etc surgeries.

Traditional Rulers at the commissioning include His Majesty, Oluaso of Iberekodo, Oba Jamiu Adedamola Badmos, Babaaso of Iberekodo- Igbole, Oba Joshua Ojo, Onisaganun of Saganun, Oba Fasasi Jinad, Onidofin of Idofin, Oba Samuel Adeleye and Members, friends of the hospital.
