Ajimobi, an Inspiration for Generations …..Bar. Opeyemi Tijani

A frontline Legal luminary and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Opeyemi Tijani has eulogised the late former governor of Oyo State, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi who could have turned 74 years.

Celebrating the posthumous birthday of the former Governor of Oyo State in a statement made available to Asako news, Bar. Opeyemi Tijani described late Senator Abiola Ajimobi as an enigma that changed the face and landscape of Oyo State.

According to Tijani:

“His desire to transform the state was premised on his firm belief that “a great leader is one that takes his people not where they want to be but where they ought to be”. His love for peace and security saw him change Oyo State from the one known for violence and brigandage to one that tranquility reigned and security of lives was assured. The fact that all through his tenure which was an unprecedented 8 years, there was no single incidence of bank robbery is a testament to this.”

Bar. Tijani described late Senator Ajimobi as an inspiration, not only to incumbent politicians but aspiring ones who always showed that a man can excel in both worlds; in the private sector as top brass in an oil company and the public sector as a senator and the first two-term governor in the annals of Oyo State political history.

“Today, the barrier of impossibility seems destroyed because we all believe if Sen. Ajimobi could do it, many more can also do it”.

“I celebrate Sen. Ajimobi posthumously and pray his legacies will continue to radiate in gold”, Tijani concluded.
