APU leaders, Ayete traditional council members present as FASU inaugurates students’ union leaders

The Federation of Ayete students union was suspended in 2019 citing security reasons.

Following the reinstatement of the Students’ Union activities in Ayete town, the chairman of the apex developmental group in the community tagged “Ayete Progressive Union” on Saturday, December 31st 2022 inaugurated the elected leadership of the association.

The decision is coming three years after its proscribed the students’ body, citing security reasons.

Comr. Olaosun Saheed said the electoral body that conducted the election was inaugurated by the Ayete Progressive Union, who encouraged the youngsters to emulate their counterparts in “the developed world where student leaders engage in welfare needs of fellow students and community at large.

The sworn-in members of the central executive council include the President of the union, Olaosun Saheed K; Vice President, Farinto Busayo; Secretary-General, Omileke Roqeebat; Public Relations Officer, Ayankunle Sarafadeen Director of Socials, Olafimihan Pelumi; Director of Sports, Adeniyi Muhammed; Financial Secretary, Hammed Salimot; and the Treasurer, Gbolagade Musinat.
