Three years after, FASU inaugurates students’ union executives

The electoral commission of Federation of Ayete Students Union, have, on Saturday, inaugurated the new students’ union executives for the 2022/2024 parliamentary session.

The new union executives were sworn in by the Electoral Commission Chair, Comrade Atilola Seun, at the Ayete Old town hall. The swearing-in also had in attendance some important dignitaries across Ibarapa land.

The Students’ Union had its elections on December 26th 2022 after the lifting of a theee-year ban placed on it since 2019 by the Asawo of Ayete land. Comr. AKINSANMI HAKEEM FEMI emerged as the president unopposed.

 

The Electoral has finally inaugurated members of the Central Executive Council, Students’ Representatives after the union elections.

Seun Atilola who spoke with The Asako Reporters correspondent said the inauguration had been long overdue and that the spirit of unionism had been weakened over time. He congratulate the elected officers and charge them to discharge their duties according to the constitution of the union.
