OYO STATE SPEAKER VISIT IBARAPA MONARCHS, ASSURE EFFORTS TO MAKE IBARAPA HEADQUARTER OF AGRICULTURE IN THE STATE ONGOING

The Oyo State Speaker, Rt. Hon Adebowale Ogundoyin, on Tuesday, visited the Ibarapa traditional rulers, at the Olu of Igboora palace in Igboora, in respect of late Asigangan of Igangan land.

 

In attendance are Rt. Hon Adebowale Ogundoyin, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Gbadegesin Ojedokun, Member representing Ibarapa Central/ North consistuency, all the three local governments Chairmen in Ibarapa land.

 

Others Included HRM Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, The Olu of Igboora land, Oba Jamiu Badmos, The Olu Aso of Iberekodo, Oba Olusanjo Ojo, The Babaaso of Iberekodo Igbole, Oba Junaid Fasasi etc.

 

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin who speak briefly thank the monarchs for the support they are providing for the present government, he mourned the death of the Asigangan of Igangan land, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state, Oba Lasisi Olawuyi Adeoyo and late Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Saliu Adetunji.

 

He further stated that “Ibarapa land currently has enough political appointees in present Oyo State government to influence development to the land but they all need to work in synergy and assured that before the ending of the month there is going to be a forum where the political class and traditional rulers will meet regularly and discuss on developments so they can have blue print of what they want for the community.

 

He assured that before the March of this year, work will start on the road linking Igboora – Iganna that has been awarded by the present government and promised the road linking Ibadan – Eruwa will be re awarded before the year ending.

 

Our efforts is to make Ibarapa the headquarter of Agriculture in Oyo State, Eruwa farm settlements will be the largest in the state after completion and in few months, work will start on that, the aim of the project is to serve as pilot projects, which will be used to develop other farm settlements across the state, he concluded.

 

HRM Oba Jamiu Badmos thank the speaker and pray for his success, he equally seize the medium to implore the speaker to use his influence to drive infrastructure to Ibarapa just like the governor is doing in Ibadan.

 

HRM Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye corroborated on the former stance and seek for the quick intervention of the speaker so that Oyo State government will complete the ongoing construction of Igboora stadium on time.
