Olaniyi Oludare, Others Emerge as Igboora Students Elect New Union Officers

The election for the Federation of Igboora Students Union’s Central Executives Council was conducted yesterday, Thursday 29th of December, 2022.

The election started around 10:00 am where electoral commissioners and personnel from the security units were seen moving at the venue to ensure the safety of the electoral materials and electorates.

Asako reporters reported that the election process was averagely peaceful, there were no any form of chaos through out the election.

Olaniyi Oludare popularly known as John West, a student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta was declared winner of the Presidential election of the Federation of Igboora Students Union after polling 112 votes to defeat his opponents Okewusi aka Okeizema.

Adeleye aka SOA from Oyo State college of Agriculture, Abeokuta emerged as Treasurer after defeating Comrade Adextino, other contestants won their various office unopposed after beating the two-third of the vote casted.

According to the electoral commission, the inauguration of the newly elected executives is to hold tomorrow 31st December, 2022 at Igboora town hall.
