JUST IN: SUSPECTED FULANI HERDER APPREHENDED AND HANDED OVER TO THE POLICE——IGBOORA COMMUNITY LEADERS

Suspected fulani herder, that was reported to have attacked and cut off the right hand of a man named Taiwo on 18th March, 2022 at Igboora had been apprehended by the Community’s local security task force and handed over to the police.

Speaking on behalf of the community leaders, at the “Gbagede Oro” programme of the Asako Radio/Tv Anchord by Olayinka Afefe Oro, monitored by our correspondent on Wednesday, 23rd March, 2022, the Secretary to Igboora Traditional Rulers, Hon. Adeniyi Adetona, confirmed this.

According to him, immediately we got the information about the ugly incident, we gathered all our local security agents to get to the root of the matter. We discovered the Cattle was own by an indegene who employed the fulani man for its grazing, through this we were able to apprehend the culprit. We showcased him at the town hall in the presence of representatives of all security agents and the entire community, and there after handed him to the police.

On behalf of Olu of Igboora and all the traditional rulers in Igboora, we implore all to go our normal duty as we shall continue to strive as a united community to play our unrelenting role in making our community peaceful.
