Record was set today as the former legislative aide to Hon. Gbenga Ojoawo, Hon. Lawal Soliu Adelodun declared interest to contest for member representing Ibarapa Central/ North constituency in the Federal House of Representatives during the general meeting of APC held at A.D.S Basic School II Igangan. The meeting which recorded massive turnout of people from all walks of life.

In his declaration speech, he made the audience understand that it’s high time youths are braced up to take the mantle of leadership and showcase the stuff they are made of by offering the people good representation that they deserve. Also, the party faithfuls were made to understand that they should not despise his little beginning by looking down on him that where will he get the money to shoulder the financial implications of the electioneering process nowadays?

Going down the memory lane, in 2015 an aspirant did not have the financial strength but was massively supported by the teeming party loyalists to the extent that some well-to-do loyalists carried the financial responsibility and lo and behold,he won massively, Adelodun said.

He further pleaded to all the party faithfuls to embrace him as their child who is just starting and without such financial strength as demanded of any would-be contestant.
