AKOREDE SUES FOR PEACE

 

The executive Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government, Mr Lateef Akorede has expressed dissatisfaction on the manner the legislative arm of the local government mobilised against the government in guise of a protest held at the local government secretariat on Tuesday, 28th March, 2022, urging them to search for more lights on the local government administration and management as enacted by the 1991 constitution with respect to their statutory functions and limitations.

 

This was made known in a statement issued through the media aide to the Chairman and made available to newsmen on Thursday.

 

The Executive Chairman also advised the Legislators to always embrace conflict resolution strategy in their subsequent way of approach devoid of breaking down of law and order.

 

He urged the legislative arm of the local government to embrace unflinching and unalloyed supports that will be for the interest of the people and not personal interests. He therefore sued for peace, love and tranquility in the course of serving the good people of Ibarapa North Local government which should be their topmost priority.”

 

In the same vein, the executive arm of the local government has passed vote of confidence in the administration of the Council Boss, Hon. Lateef Akorede at their statutory meeting on Thursday, 29th March, 2022 held at the Local Government secretariat.

 

At the end of the meeting, they admonished the Legislative arm to embrace dialogue, rather than being sponsored against a government they’re presently serving.
