IBARAPA MONARCHS COMMISERATE WITH GOV. MAKINDE, ALAAFIN AND OLUBADAN IN COUNCIL OVER OLUBADAN’S DEATH

The Permanent Chairman Ibarapa Central Local Government Traditional Rulers, HRM Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, has described the death of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, as a great loss to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Yoruba race at large.

Recalled that the monarch died on Sunday at the age of 93 after a brief illness at the intensive care unit of University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Oba Jimoh in a statement issued on behalf of Ibarapa traditional council and made available to Asako Reporters correspondent described Oba Adetunji as a lover of peace who discharged his duties as a first class traditional ruler with wisdom and the fear of God.

According to him, Oba Saliu Adetunji is a renowned traditional ruler whose sense of history and love for the Yoruba tradition would forever remain evergreen.

He further stated that Oyo State, Oyo State Council of Obas and Nigeria will profoundly miss the monarch whose unwavering services and dignified presence will be remembered for a very long time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, Parmanent Chairman Oyo State Council of Obas, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Oyo State traditional council, the royal family, and entire people of the state during this trying time. May God comfort their families, state government, and the good people of Oyo State on the irreplaceable loss of the iconic royal fathers, he added.
