IBARAPA BORN ARCHITECT SHAUBAN OBATADE RETIRED FROM THE OYO STATE CIVIL SERVICE

Friday 21st October 2022, was a unique day in the life of Architect Shauban A. Obatade FNIA. as he successfully retired from the Civil Service of Oyo State. He Retired as the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. Oyo State.

The occasion was graced by eminent personalities across Nigeria.

Dignitaries who graced the event included HRM, Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, Oyo State Commissioner for Works, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, serving and retired Permanent Secretaries, relatives and friends within and outside Ibarapa land, Islamic religious leaders including including Dr. Daud Ayodele Amao, representatives of Muslim organizations like NACOMYO, MSSN, PIMGA, Sheriff Guards of Nigeria, etc.

Different speakers at the event described Arch. Obatade as a Community leader, Godly person, philanthropist, professionally diligent, honest, and loyal civil servant.

The gathering reflected the personality of Arc. Obatade. Most of his colleagues attested to his love for his people, Ibarapa, and his faith, Islam, without denying others of their rights.

In his remarks, the state commissioner for works applauded his resilience to service and community, he reassured him that his interests in the growth and development of Ibarapa land would be taken care of as many road projects would soon commence in the area according to his interest.

The State Commissioner further assured that his professional skill would always be needed even as he bowed out of the civil service of the state.

In his remarks, the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye expressed his delight that Architect Obatade served the state diligently and honestly. He was proud of his clean records as been attested to as a trademark of all Ibarapa sons and daughters.
