FOCUS ON YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION: FIBSA STAKEHOLDERS WARN LATEEF AKOREDE

Published

on

Over time, many students across the Ibarapa land have condemned the activities of the local government chairman, hon. Lateef Akorede for causing more troubles and crises to the Federation of Ibarapa students association FIBSA by joining forces with one faction of FIBSA. This action is nothing but a bane to the progress of FIBSA as it is causing enmity and disharmony in the FIBSA association. There is absolutely nothing that concerns the local government chairman about the activities of FIBSA to the extent of deciding on who to be the Fibsa President. This, the stakeholders find inappropriate by the executive chairman of Ibarapa North local government in supporting one faction instead of calling the duo factions to order as they both are from the same local government he heads.

In the effort to restore peace and for the progress of FIBSA, The stakeholders of the association have jointly held a meeting on the 9th and 10th of April to dissolve the two factional Presidents and their executive members and also warn them to stop parading themselves as fibsa presidents or executives pending the time the constituted committee set up to oversee the affairs of the association are done finding solutions to the issues that led to the association having two presidents in the last FIBSA general election.

However, It is totally unfortunate and uncalled for, after the effort of the stakeholders of FIBSA to have an effective and progressive FIBSA Association among students of the seven (7) towns that comprise FIBSA, the executive chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Akorede yet uses his office, being the chairman to sponsor a program tagged” Ibarapa day” organized by Gabriel Timileyin, one of the dissolved factions in FIBSA.

The stakeholder s frank against this childish and reckless attitude of the local government chairman and therefore give him a strict warning to stop sponsoring the already dissolved FIBSA association.

We equally censure his Secretary, Olopade John Oluwaseun who went to deliver a lecture at such gathering knowing fully well that is a dissolved administration. It should be noted that the chairman’s reckless and unthinkable actions are adding more fuel to the Fibsa crisis.

We see you as a pacific person that, many youths are looking up to. You shouldn’t just do things to be famous, some actions need to be given full thought and reasoning before considering them. This is a warning to you too, any further step to involve in FIBSA activities, you would have yourself be blamed.

This note of warning is still extending to all other Comrades and aspirants for the 2023 general election to stop causing disorders and division and allow peace to reign in FIBSA.

FIBSA is not established for political motives and, neither is it for anyone. It is basically for the entire students of Ibarapa Land.
