DIGNITARIES PREACHED PEACE, AS OLU OF IGBOORA HOLD MAIDEN RAMADAN LECTURE.

……Prayed for the repose soul of Alaafin.

Dignitories comprising Sons and Daughters accross Igboora thronged en masse to witness the maiden Olu of Igboora Ramadan lecture held at the Olu of Igboora Ultra- Modern Palace ground, on Sunday, 24th April, 2022.

In his opening speech, the Olu of Igboora, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye (Asoroolu Ayinla V); he appreciated Allah who has made the day free of weather fluctuations and welcome all Sons and Daughters of Igboora, most especially those that traveled far and near to witness the prayer session and Ramadan lecture. He appreciated all traditional rulers and religious rulers for the love and unity displayed towards the success of the programme. Kabiesi eulogized the memory of the late Alaafin of Oyo and head of the Yoruba Obas whose sudden demise will be too much to bear within the entire Yoruba race. He called for a special prayer in honour of the late Alaafin.

All traditional rulers and dignitories who spoke one after another, preached peace, love and unity amongst the communities within the Town as the only yardstick for full restoration of the prosperous Igboora.

In his sermon, the guest lecturer of the event, Alhaji Sheikh Muhd- Yakub Mustapha Onikeke, while doing justice to the topic titled: “SOCIETAL ILLS, AS A RESULT OF POOR PARENTAL ETIQUETTES AND REMEDIES”, traced societal ills amongst Youths of today to non-challant attitudes of parents towards proper care and monitoring of their children from birth to adulthood.

The Islamic Cleric advised Parents to always joined hands in taking care of their wards, with unalloyed love and being closed to them, according to him, through this, Children will be definitely emulate the good moral values of their parents. He advised against parents who always put their children in the care of Guardians.

The Chairman of the maiden lecture, Alhaji Hassan Okunade, appluaded the sacrifice and leadership styles of the traditional rulers towards a parmanent restoration of unity back to the Community.

The Chairperson of the occasion, Alhaja Wasilat Adedigba in her good-will message, congratulated the Olu of Igboora and all Sons and Daughters of Igboora on the maiden Ramadan lecture. She prayed for more successful and prosperous Ramadan in the future.

Traditional rulers at the occasion included the Oluaso of Iberekodo, Babaaso of Igbole, Rep. of Onidere of Idere, Onisaganun of Saganun, Onilala of Lanlate and Onidofin of Idofin.

Dignitories who witnessed the event included Alhaji O M Abass, Rep. of Hon. Dr. Muraina Ajibola, member representing Ibarapa central and North at the lower chamber, Dr. Bayo Adepoju, Olori (Alhaja) Amudalat Akinyemi, Hon Doyin Adeoye, chairman Ibarapa central local government, Alhaji Moshood Salami, Eng. Kunle Aderogba amongst others.
The Chief Imam of Igboora, Alhaji Yunus Alobalowo lead Islamic faithfuls to the occasion.
