now appealed to the listening Governor to extend same gesture given to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho to other State own Institutions.

His Excellency

State Secretariat.

Oyo state

Your Excellency.

OPEN LETTER TO THE CONCERNED PARTY ON THE ONGOING STRIKE J. A. C

Your Excellency, please permit me to make an open letter.

We can not continue like this ; shouldering the consequences we do not deserve , the only crime we have committed is striving to be educated, we can not continue sitting around while the structure of our dear citadel of learning is collapsed and our future has been toyed with. Recall that this ugly situation started year’s ago; when lecturer in Oyo State college of Agriculture and technology igboora started embarking on strikes at very short intervals each other , especially after every semester examination , programs that takes eighteen months to complete now take three years or more (and in the case of the 2020 pandemic took more than three years) Although we the students are the ones suffering the consequences of strike action by staff unions we can not for sure say the causes

Some years back , during the time late Governor Isiaka Abiola Ajumobi was the governor, we had it that the strikes are due to the failure of government to find the school but it took a turn when the government visit our school to commission the home and Rural economics building , which happen to be during strike action by J.A.C. I recall that the governor mentioned the government of Oyo State has been properly funding the school management did not oppose his statement many strike action had been held by J.A.C after then hence the reason why I claimed that we do not know the cause of the strikes

NO, I want to remind the current government led by his Excellency Gov seyi makinde that the students contributed greatly to his emergence as the government Oyo state because the predecessor failed us and he promised to see to issues surrounding education in the State. If he has succeeded in taking Lautech for Oyo state but he has not been able to do anything concerning other State owned institution, he has not done anything

I used the medium to inform Gov seyí makinde of our pain as students if he has not been informed lately

Dear Seyi makinde and the commissioner for education , I would like to inform you that the J.A.C union comprising all the staff of higher institution in Oyo state is currently on strike which now a months , we please that you should intervene for the sake of the students who are the victims of this ugly situation

Student always agree that staff struggle is our struggle because they are our father, mother brother and sister but in a situation like this ;we feel betrayed and not considered. Yes we are ready to stay by your sides to ensure that you are treated well but we want you to communicate to us so that we can know where to come in so, maybe this strike can be averted

We plead J.A.C that they should consider the students and our precious time that is been wasted and resume in a few days

We are currently spending the cards of consultation and consolidation and preparing to bring our the joker which is confrontation, we plead that both the government and the management should not understimate us. They have been provoked and we can’t take it anymore

With deepest sense of regards sir
