AKOGUN IBARAPA CIVIL SOCIETY THROW WEIGHT BEHIND IBARAPA KAN, SUPPORT HIM AHEAD OF 2022

An Ibarapa socio-cultural group, named Akogun Ibarapa Civil society at early hour of Saturday, 14th May, 2023 declared support for Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju, an aspirant under the umbrella of People’s Democratic Party for Ibarapa Central and North federal House of Representatives in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the residence of the aspirant, the president of the group, AKOGUN Adewale Aborode pronounced that the civil society was birthed out of demand for equal representation and fair treatment for the Ibarapa born civil society working in various parastatals in the state ministries

He highlighted the various challenges facing Ibarapa indigenes working in various parastatals have been facing over the time, according to him: “we’re maligned and denied lot of there civil right and entitlements’.

A PDP Chieftain who was also in attendance, Mr. Kolawole Olanrele, appreciated the group for the gesture and reintrated how Ibarapa has been sidelined in the State’s political process due to our low or insignificant Election votes; he therefore called for all Ibarapas to turn out enmass in the forthcoming general elections.

Another member of the group Hon. Tunde Adegbenjo in his own speech described how Dr. Anthony had helped a colleague of at the Polytechnic Ibadan in the of his promotion exercise when he was initially denied what is duly entitled.

Dr. Anthony is his speech appreciated the group and task them to be more committed towards political and societal development of Ibarapa as a whole.
