2022 WORLD CANCER DAY: FAJIM OFFERED FREE HEALTH SERVICE TO OVER 200 IN IDERE

FAJIM Medicare is a non-profit and non-political organisation founded by Ibarapa born Professor of Pathology, Prof. Fatimah Abdulkareem. Some of the aims of the foundation centres around improving health status of the undeserved communities in Nigeria through health education, screening for early detection of diseases and promotion of preventive healthcare programs.
To commemorate this year World Cancer day, FAJIM foundation extended their gesture to Idere community in Ibarapa central local government, Oyo State yesterday, 5th February, 2022 where over 200 indegenes of Idere town were given health talk by the founder, Prof Abdulkareem followed by free Health screening, consultation and treatment by trained medical personnel. It will be recalled that similar programe was successfully held at Towobowo market and Oja Oba market, Igboora in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Jamiu Abdulkareem appreciated the volunteers, Onidere of Idere who was physically present,HRM Oba Kingsley Aderoju, Idere community, Security agents and most importantly, the Idere born financial expert, Mr. Sunday Babarinde who provided all logistics for the successful hosting of FAJIM in Idere town.
He reviewed the previous and ongoing efforts of the foundation in giving back to the community, ranging from free health consultation, training and services, schorlarship for over 30 medical students and several supports by the foundation.
Speaking on behalf of Idere community, the Idere born financial expert, Mr Sunday Babarinde appreciated the founder and Management of FAJIM Medicare foundation for giving back to the community. He appreciated the volunteers and participants for the good conduct in the course of the free medical services.
