NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF IGANGAN STUDENTS UNION DISSOCIATE SELF FROM PURPORTED FIBSA ELECTION

The executive President, National Association of Igangan Students Union, Comr Ojewola Paul has dissociate the association from the purported election into different offices of Federation of Ibarapa Students Association under the chairmanship of Mr Adepoju Lawrence led Committee likely to hold today in Idere.

Ojewola disclosed this on Saturday in a statement made available to our correspondent in Igboora, the Ibarapa Central Capital.

Describing those reaching out remotely as desperate power seekers or not aware of the provisions of the union constitution in his short speech before he released the press statement.

The statement read in part, “I still remain the number one student of the National Association of Igangan students and I didn’t bestow my power on anybody to act in my capacity. For clarification and better understanding, the 2017 National Association of Igangan students’ Constitution stated expressly in Article XV that, all union mission and/or delegation to any standing, ordinary, National and/or International meeting, conference, seminar, e.t. c shall be led by the union President or his representative.

LETTER OF DISSOCIATION FROM THE PURPORTED FIBSA ELECTION

I write as the executive head of the union to dissociate myself and the entire National Association of Igangan Students from the purported FIBSA election which has been scheduled to hold by some set of people today.

I want to make it loud and clear to the entire public and Ibarapa Land that the National Association of Igangan Students’ under my ambit has not recommended anybody to represent the union in any external election nor the legislative arm(src) of the union recommended anyone or group of persons

I also want to make it clear to all sons and daughters of Igangan land that whoever that is parading him/herself in the said election ground today claiming to be the President of National Association of Igangan Students’ shall face full wrath of law.

I still remain the number one student of the National Association of Igangan students and I didn’t bestow my power on anybody to act in my capacity.

For clarification and better understanding, the 2017 National Association of Igangan students’ Constitution stated expressly in Article XV that, all union mission and/or delegation to any standing, ordinary, National and/or International meeting, conference, seminar, e.t. c shall be led by the union President or his representative.

Also, Article XXIV, SECTION II (g) stated that, approval or reject the candidature of any students representing the union in any external election of any organization to which the union is affiliated. This shall be by a simple majority vote at the council meeting through the office of the clerk in writing. Without such an approval, no member of the union shall be allowed to contest to represent the union.

In lieu of the above articles, the executive and the legislative arms of National Association of Igangan students hereby sends a warning signal to any students that have breached the above Article stated in 2017 NAIS Constitution . He or she should kindly dissociate him/herself from such an act before 9am today and failure to comply, the Association will not hesitate to take necessary steps on such individuals.
