METHODIST SET TO BUILD HOSPITAL IN IGBOORA AS PRELATE OF THE METHODIST CHURCH OF NIGERIA, DR SAMUEL CHUKWUEMEKA VISIT OLU OF IGBOORA PALACE

As part of courtesy visit to all parishes of Methodist Church of Nigeria, MCN, across the country, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka Kalu Uche, on Thursday has visited the Elekuro dioceses in Oyo State.

 

His Eminence, Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka Kalu Uche and his entourage also visited the palace of Olu of Igboora land, where he prayed for peace in Ibarapa community.

 

The Olu of Igboora land, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, thank the leadership of Methodist Church of Nigeria and acknowledged their immense contributions to the growth of the country since 1980’s, he used the occasion to solicit the support of the His Eminence, Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka Kalu Uche to use his office and influence to carve out Ibarapa land from Elekuro diocese and establish Ibarapa diocese, the monarch also asked for establishment of Methodist hospital in Igboora and lastly that the missionaries should not cease from praying for Ibarapa land against evil doers.

 

His Royal Majesty, Oba Jamiu Badmos, the Olu Aso of Iberekodo, Igboora who speak briefly at the program also corroborated on Olu of Igboora stance.

 

Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka while reacting to the monarch requests thank the traditional rulers for their continuous support to the development of Methodist missionaries movements.

 

Dr Chukwuemeka promised the monarch that he will consult the health department of Methodist Church of Nigeria and that the hospital will be establish very soon and also promised to establish the diocese of Ibarapa considering the long distance from Ibarapa to Ibadan.

 

On insecurity, Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka narrated how he was called to the aid of the agatu people in Benue state who are predominantly Methodist faithful during Fulani – Herders crisis and with the help of God, the crisis were quenched, he pray against evil doers not to near Ibarapa land again.

 

Among the traditional rulers present are Olu of Igboora land, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, The Olu Aso of Iberekodo, HRM Oba Jamiu Badmos, The Baba aso of Iberekodo Igbole, HRH Apostle Joshua Olusanjo Ojo.

 

Others include Onisagan un of Sagan un Kingdom, Oba Jinadu; the Onidofin of Idofin and the representative of Onidere, Jagun of Idere.

 

All the traditional rulers visited were glad to receive Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka, meanwhile, it was jubilation galore

 

Those that joined Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka on the visit include the Archbishop and Bishop of the Archdiocese and Diocese of Ibadan, Most Revd Olumuyiwa Odejayi, retired bishops, bishops and wives of the bishops.
