Wife of late Alhaji Atilola Adedigba, an accomplished, quitessential civil servant and foremost Igboora community leader, Alhaja Wasilat Adedigba, on Saturday, urged Igboora people, irrespective of differences, religious and other sentiments to shun segregation so that the community can thrive.

She told our correspondent that, It is quite unfortunate when some Igboora indigenes engage in reckless and unguided utterances that her husband was a sectional leader.

“At no time did Atilola Adedigba express directly or indirectly preference for certain section, group or individuals; he considers all Igboora indigenes and every sections of Igboora as his constituency. He was a man to rely on, upright and straightforward, he was always carrying me along all of his activities and made me aware of most things in this community, this is why I will always support any development in the community to continue the course my late husband believes in.

“It is indeed clear that right from inception of his career till his demise, he worked tirelessly and passionately to ensure justice and fairness in order to return Igboora Community to path of greatness; he
has delivered in this commitment, taking into account he was not only promoting justice and fairness but also practice same in all his dealings,” she said.

She added that despite high level of decay that later befell the activities of Igboora Literary Progressive Union after organizing the Igboora day and other notable and commendable projects due to greediness and selfishness of some people, Adedigba and other notable leaders were able to achieve high level of success by almost all indicators.

She therefore, called on present youths to look beyond differences and sectional interests and join progressive minded elders in rebuilding Igboora.
